FAQs About Student Teaching
Intern Teacher. What's the difference between an
Intern Teacher and a Student Teacher?
Holy Family refers to an Intern Teacher as a
teacher with a full-time job as a full-time teacher, either in a public or
private school. The Public Schools refer to an Intern Teacher as one with
an Intern Certificate. The Holy Family Intern Teacher must complete
student teaching in a manner similar to the student teacher, except that they
have there assignment where they are teaching full-time. Holy Family
Intern teachers must complete a Student/Intern Teacher Application, be assigned
a University Supervisor, register for student teaching (usually EDUC520), and
are encouraged to have a cooperating teacher.
