Diversity and Multicultural Affairs
Spanish Heritage Month
As many of you know, September is Hispanic Heritage Month. This year the
Diversity Team invites you to participate in two events to celebrate with our
Hispanic/Latino brothers and sisters on campus. On September 21st, during
the lunch hour, 12:30-1:30 we will have a musical celebration by
a three-piece, Cuban folkloric Percussion group. We invite anyone who
wishes to contribute a Cuban or Latin-American dish to share with us. Light
refreshments will be served. Please see our flyer!

Also on Sunday, September 25th, 10 am. Some of us will be participating
in the Puerto Rican Day Parade. We need at least 15 participants, but would
like as many as we can get. We are encouraging students faculty, and
staff, especially anyone of Spanish heritage, to walk with us under the Holy
Family banner in this important and fun-filled cultural event. Please
contact G.K. Matusiak in room NEB120 if you are interested in going, call ext.
3526 or via this email address. Muchas gracias!!!
